I’m Back
After a self-imposed hiatus just over a year ago, I decided to come back to the blog world, albeit at a new URL. You can read my final post if you’re interested in my reasons for stopping. In this post, however, I want to chart out a course for this blog and explain why I do it.
For me, a blog is a great sandbox, where I can try out new thoughts and ideas. The discpline of putting my thoughts into words is one that is important to me. I realize that I do this every week in my sermon, but there are lots of ideas that don’t make it to the weekly gathering at Imago Dei.
My guess is, if you know me at all, you know that I love books and I like to talk about the books I’m reading. So, this blog becomes a repository of my short reviews of books, movies, music, etc. that makes me think. And I hope it will make you think too.
And finally, it’s a place where I can be silly. I probably won’t quote The Office like I used to, because it’s just not that funny anymore. But my kids say funny things all the time, and window-watching outside of the Imago Dei Office is always fantastic sport.
So, thanks for reading. If there’s something you want to hear me talk about, let me know. I’m always looking for something interesting.
(And I’ll try to make future posts shorter.)

I didn’t know you were blogging again until I took my monthly trip to facebook and saw a comment. I didn’t know there was a good “now reading” pluging – I need to look into that.
You have a laundry list of books – I’d be interested to hear what you think of them (to help me pick my next books).

I will write short reviews as I go. I just wanted to get all of my ‘09 reads in for now. But from here forward, as I finish, I’ll rate and review.
