Since I read Eugene Peterson’s “Working the Angles” and “Five Smooth Stone for Pastoral Work” in seminary, this is by far the best book I’ve read on the unique calling of a pastor.
Moving past current depictions of the pastor as a CEO, or strategist, or entertainer, this book recovers the hard spiritual work of the pastor.
A must-read for pastor types.
